"Put a quarter in the gas meter"

Kind, wonderful, amazing movie.

At the heart of the film is a drama about a mother who left her child to the mercy of fate. He is picked up by Charlie, takes care of him, teaches, despite his poor life. But all the burdens of life - this is not a reason to lose heart!

Charlie Chaplin paints dark colors around his good humor. How sweet and naive, ridiculously and wittily touching the soul comedian comes up with a lot of funny, funny, naive moments in the film. "Put a quarter down in the gas meter," Charlie says, and after that Johnny takes out a tin box from the counter and takes out a trifle from there. Or a child's fight with the local courtyard hooligans, where Charlie prepares the child for the next round, as a real boxer. Particularly pleased with the joint, family business of Charlie and the baby, unless only the hardest person will smile at this moment in the film. Of course, not only that, everything in this film deserves praise.

In the silent film there is no excess, all that happens is important. There are no words, but much is said, that words will not be conveyed accurately enough. Touch the soul of the episodes, when the kid is trying to take away from Charlie, they make us feel together with the great master of silent movies.

Fortunately, at the end of the movie, everything bad is behind us, my mother finds her child. BUT a real father, of course Charlie. It was the one who was not afraid to take on all the responsibility, did not fail and adequately experienced all the difficulties together with the beloved baby.

All is well that ends well and this inimitable film ends with a happy ending.
