Therefore, not everyone wants to take on the problems of strangers and try to help a stranger more than himself. And now, not for the first time, the majority is united by a single and probably the most terrible problem - indifference.

One of the most heartbreaking moments is the attempt of the senseless authorities to divide the boy and the tramp. In this scene, in the eyes of Jackie and Charlie, unlimited grief is reflected.

A few funny episodes cause good emotions, but the music, in which the notes of sadness and suffering are woven, does not allow to laugh for a long time. The film is a delightful drama about everything that is important for us today - about kindness, love, repentance and reunion. There are many things here that make you think about your actions and their possible consequences. Charlie Chaplin with the help of his gift appeals to the audience through many decades, leaving them hope for a brighter future. But this is the most valuable thing that cinema can give.
