It so happened that my acquaintance with the silent cinema, and in particular with the films of Charlie Chaplin began only now. Now I understand that I have always been aware of what was happening, and now while I'm writing this review, all the iconic movies by Chaplin stand on the download. "Kid" was the first full-length film, which Chaplin took and the second film I reviewed from his work. At first I looked at the "Lights of the Big City" and was devilishly impressed, but the second film was "Kid".

I will say right away, the effect is the same - the devil's cool! I myself can not explain it. I'm not a fan of old movies, especially the movie that has already hit 94 years! And I would never have thought that such films would cause me such enthusiasm. I'm talking about a sincere impression and surprise from what I saw. Not because I'm singing a film of praise and I'm afraid to be a fucked tomato for non-forest words to the classics, but because it's true. The film is extremely positive emotions. It even seems to me if I tie a typical TP to the chair to the pain in my brain, it will feel at least a fraction of the depth of this picture with my chicken brain.

Such a movie can cause yes and causes any person at least some emotions. Of course he can push the viewer away from himself with his release year or so, this is a silent movie, but if you still watch the film, he will be remembered for a long time. Do you know why? Because such films are no longer being filmed. I'm talking about the fact that honesty and sincerity in contemporary films have disappeared right now and it's felt, just as in this film their presence is felt. Little Stroller and Kid just one gesture, mimicry or their actions, without a single word as if by the stroke of a magic wand play by spectators. Here they make them laugh, here worry, here cry or sad. And believe me, perhaps the most important and powerful thing that an actor can do, especially a silent movie. Try, without saying a word, forcing your friend to cry or just cry. Charlie Chaplin succeeded!

It's just worth watching "Baby" to understand what I'm talking about here and everything will become clear. I wish you to do this sooner. I also avoided such films in all ways and reasons, preferring something modern, and on the whole found something completely new in the distant old.
