If I were asked to compile a list of favorite actors, I would have given Jackie Chan the first place without hesitation. You can say I, like many of my peers, grew up on his films, which were often shown on the central channels in the 90s. Ah, it was a good time ... However, more to the point.
One fine evening, I decided to pass the time while watching a movie with a favorite actor. After some reflection, the choice fell on "Drunken Master", since I could not remember ever having watched it. Of course, there were certain doubts. Has the picture lost its relevance? Will be able to keep the screen? Looking ahead, I note that all the fears were in vain.
The main character of the tape is Wong Fei-Hun - a young man, very gifted in terms of martial arts, but very hot-tempered and defiant. Not a day goes by, so that Fay-Hun doesn't get into another story. As a result, the father, rather tired of the negligent offspring, sends him to a martial arts master and a connoisseur of good Sow. Of course, at first, the young man is not enthusiastic about such a prospect - all the more so since the trainings turned out to be unusually tough - and one day he simply escapes. However, it so happened that during the flight, Wong ran into the enemy, who turned out to be too tough for him, and regularly shovels from him in full. As a result, the beaten and humiliated hero has nothing left but to return to the mentor and resume training. For it is only through grueling workouts that one can comprehend the path of the Eight Drunk Gods, who in the future will help get even with the offender ...
With such a rather simple plot, it is interesting to watch the movie, it does not let you go until the very end. In many ways, this is the merit of Jackie Chan himself, who played Wong Fei-Hun, and Yuan Xiaotian, who played the role of a wise, though drunk, mentor. It was these two people, both individually and interacting with each other, that generated a significant part of the funny situations that took place in the Drunken Master. The undoubted advantages of the picture include the local battles, which, despite the funny sound effects and Jackie Chan grimaces, are very professional. Of the positive moments, I also note the music, which, although rare and unpretentious, but at the same time harmonizes with the action taking place on the screen.
In conclusion, I can say that I enjoyed watching this film, and therefore I recommend it to both fans of Jackie and fans of good comedy action films.
